What is GATE?
GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, an exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Science with seven Indian Institutes of Technology in Roorkee, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Bombay. The exams are designed to test comprehension and understand of science and engineering at the undergraduate level. GATE 2019 will see a huge number of prospective students who will take the exam with the hopes of gaining scores that will allow them admission into postgraduate education programs in renowned Indian higher education institutes.
Facts about GATE
GATE 2019 will be conducted in English and takes 3 hours. The GATE is offered once a year, usually in February and the scores are valid for 3 years from the taking of the exam. There are a number of requirements that must be fulfilled in order to take GATE.
Criteria for GATE
You must be a final year student or a graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture, or a Master’s in Science or any related field.
